The Aseema Trust
The Aseema Trust was founded in the year 2000 by V.R.Devika to undertake projects to build bridges between rural and urban India through the traditional performing arts and also to bring stories of Mahatma Gandhi to school children and others. The Aseema Trust has networked with several organisations in major national and international projects. It has 80G income tax reduction for donations and FCRA (Foreign Contributions Regulation Act) to receive donations from abroad. It has received grants from Dorabji Tata Trust, Ford Foundation, Sangeet Natak Academy, The World Education, Lisle International and several other organisations for its projects.
